Job Description

The change management professional (CMP) will play a key role in ensuring Cornerstone projects (change initiatives) meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. This person will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. The primary responsibility will be creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance. The CMP will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of and proficiency with the changes that impact employees. These improvements will increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes.
This person will work with the Work & Asset Management change management team to lead stakeholders analysis and on-going assessment and reporting. They will act as change management analyst for the team. The CMP will provide insight and data to change management team regarding stakeholder status and partner with the team to refine plans based on stakeholder data. The CMP will be responsible for all stakeholder reporting.
Roles and responsibilities of the Change Management Professional
• Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities and stakeholder assessment and reporting.
o Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
• Support communication efforts with stakeholder engagement levels, resistance, and on-going assessment
o • Assess the change impact and understand impacts by stakeholder groups
o • Support training efforts with stakeholder information
Additional responsibilities may include:
• Complete change management assessments
• Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics
• Identify and manage anticipated resistance
• Consult and coach project teams
• Support activities and stakeholder reporting to engage senior leaders
• Support efforts to evaluate and ensure user readiness
• Track and report stakeholder issues
• Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
• Skills and qualifications
Solid reporting skills, Advanced XLS skills, analytical thinker, strong skills with graphical representation and reporting approaches.
• A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
•Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tool
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent active listening skills
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
• Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
• Forward looking with a holistic approach
• Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
• Problem solving and root cause identification skills
• Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
• Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
• Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
• Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
• Change management certification or designation desired
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, IT, Communications or related field. Associate’s Degree and two years of change management experience.
•Advanced degree a plus
Experience: Eight (8) or more years of change management experience; Experience as change manager on department or business unit level projects or leading change management workstream for change initiatives required.
